TIG Welder – Stainless Steel

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare parts to be welded by grinding, drilling, milling, tapping and cutting stainless steel/aluminum parts.
  • Perform repair welding, brazing, and cutting on steel construction.
  • Plan the details of work procedures, tools, and material requirements using instructions, prints, and work orders for the job.
  • Utilize established protocols for welding.
  • Build/raise worn or defective surfaces in order to finish product to specifications.
  • Operate a belt grinder to grind welding tips.
  • Load and unload castings from tank.
  • Pick up castings and carry them to and from the work area.
  • Keep equipment and work area clean and orderly.

EXPERIENCE:

  • HS diploma or equivalent GED preferred.
  • AWS Certified Welding Procedures preferred.
  • Must pass welding test within day of start.
  • Must be able to interpret and follow written and verbal instructions, policies and operating procedures, technical manuals, production and work schedules.
  • This position requires ability to bend, lift, push, and pull.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Must be able to utilize proper attention and care to prevent injury to others when performing maintenance work on equipment.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

Language:

  • English (required)
  • German is a plus
  • Spanish is a plus
