The Narmco Group is an industry leader in the automotive industry for metal stamping and assembly. As a result of continuously growing our professional team, we have a challenging career opportunity for a Weld Destruct Technician. The candidate for this position shall be responsible for performing Cut & Edge testing to verify weld integrity.

Job Summary

  • Perform general plant floor inspections, including functions such as charting, reporting, lab testing, tagging training and document control.
  • Perform break-down of metal parts using equipment such as plasma cutters, air hammer chisels, push-out & pull testers and saws.
  • Assist with various Quality Department administration functions regarding corrective actions, problem solving and continuous improvements, etc.
  • Set up and calibrate non-destructive testing equipment
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using ultrasonic and other non-destructive testing methods

Job Requirements

  • Experience in both Non-destruct and Destruct testing is preferred. Experience in a Quality Department or in the field of automotive stampings and assemblies is an asset.
  • Demonstrated experience must contain strong organizational, communication, administrative and time management skills.
  • Successful candidates must be capable of physical activity with the ability to withstand a continuous vibration of arms and upper body torso.
  • Ability to work all shifts including overtime.
