Overview
Tesla is seeking a highly motivated and skilled TIG Welder. This role will require the individual to work closely with the Die Shop Team and Engineering. The successful candidate will have the “can do” attitude, meticulous and hardworking, driving to accomplish the required delivery dates, striving to improve quality and decrease cost. You are a confident and skilled TIG Welder; you know what is required and you know how to do it.
What You’ll Do
TIG Weld H-13 Tool steel, preforming repair, and engineering changes, welding fabrications as needed
Operate typical machine shop equipment, including, mills, lathes, drill presses, surface grinders, saws, and Lathes preferred
Work with minimal supervision, working to detailed drawings or blueprints
Must be able to interpret verbal or written instructions and work independently to complete jobs from set up to final inspection
Work closely with managers, engineers, and technicians to produce a wide variety of components, and assemblies
General shop responsibilities (ensure a safe working environment, equipment maintenance and repair, housekeeping duties, organization of shop materials and supplies)
What You’ll Bring
8 years minimum experience Tool Steel Welding, understands tool steel welding procedures
2 years fabrication welding
Able to work well under pressure while managing competing demands and tight deadlines
Work efficiently and productively in independent and team settings
Communicate clearly using excellent written and verbal skills
Strong organization skills with meticulous attention to detail
