Overview
Marco Specialty Steel, Inc is a steel distribution and fabrication Company located near Hobby Airport in Houston Texas.
We are looking for a skilled Fabricator/Welder. Must be experienced in welding Carbon, Stainless and Nickel Alloys. Must be certified in Stainless.
A fabricator/welder must be competent in using all fabrication equipment: shear, iron worker, press brake, grinders and saws. The ideal candidate will also have a steady hand and great attention to detail. Knowledge of different kinds of metal and their properties is essential.
Responsibilities
- Read blueprints and drawings and take or read measurements to plan layout and procedures
- Determine the appropriate welding equipment or method based on requirements
- Set up components for welding according to specifications (e.g. cut material with powered saws to match measurements)
- Operate angle grinders to prepare the parts that must be welded
- Align components using calipers, rulers etc. and clamp pieces
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment in various positions (vertical, horizontal or overhead)
- Maintain equipment in a condition that does not compromise safety
Requirements
- Proven experience as welder, certified in Carbon and Stainless
- Skilled with the Iron Worker, Band Saws, Shears and Press Brake
- Experience using a variety of welding equipment and procedures (GTAW & GMAW)
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings
- Eye for quality and attention to detail
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $22.00 per hour

Experience:
- Welding: 4 years (Preferred)
License/Certification:
