The Welder will support with fixing and repairing equipment such as; cone crushers, conveyors, loaders, excavators, washing equipment, and cyclones. In this role, you will be able to fabricate and weld with limited direction. This is a fast-paced production environment, so mechanical aptitude is important. You will need to be a safety-minded individual who can think on their feet and adapt to changing situations.
The position is a temporary posting for the duration of 2022 @ local union hourly rate of 38.06 $
Perform welding repair and maintenance to production-related equipment, machinery, and structures.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Responsible to ensure all work is completed in a safe manner.
Other duties as assigned.
Safety & Environment:
Adhere to all company safety and environmental practices and policies – training provided
Education & Experience:
Experience welding in an industrial environment is an asset.
Valid driver’s license
Valid welding ticket
ability to fabricate and design
use of air arc equipment
manganese cutting and welding
ability to work in all weather conditions
CWB or other certifications is a requirement
Must be able to work under pressure
Must be comfortable working at heights
Must be comfortable working in confined spaces.
Must be able to work outside in all types of weather conditions and tolerate being exposed to loud noises.
Must be physically fit to perform required duties; successful candidates will have to pass a physical assessment.
Must be able to work overtime and weekends when necessary
