Full Job Description

Use fabrication tools such as plasma, stud gun, welder, iron worker on substations

Take accurate measurements for modifications to transformers

Leak check welds, on transformers with fluid or nitrogen in them

MIG Weld transformer lids

Weld leaks using Arc welding

Able to repair and weld leaks by MIG welding, occasionally using arc and stick methods.

Welding on equipment as needed.

Able to complete complex fabrication/layout cutting assignments.

Verifying work orders with units; purging and cutting units.

Accuracy in measuring and material usage.

Able to complete welds on more complex materials such as brass.

Support monthly operational goals.

Work in other areas when needed.

Supports monthly operational goals

High School or GED, preferred.

5 plus years previous welding experience, required.

Air Arc experience preferred.

Welding certification required.

Cooperative attitude towards all internal and external customers.

A dependable and strong work ethic; works safely.

Professional language and conduct at all times.

Ability to learn other areas sufficient to fill in where required.
