Compensation
$65,000-$75,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
Summary
The position of Welding Robotics Technician includes, but is not limited to the set-up, operation, and maintenance of Robotic Welding equipment. Responsibilities will include programming current manual processes to robotic applications, developing and implementing programs, operating and observing the robots, and reviewing and recommending design improvements of weld programs aimed at reducing rework and cycle time, and improving quality.
This position will work with the design team to collaborate and track robotic cell metrics/KPIs, data-driven PMs, optimize fixtures/jigs, and standard products. The equipment used for this role includes Miller welding machines, PLC, Panasonic robots, and DTPS. The Welding Robotics Technician will have the ability to read and understand blueprints, drawings, and welding patterns.
Requirements
High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent (minimum).
AWS Certification Program for Robotics Arc Welding (CRAW) or equivalent (preferred).
2+ years of previous experience working on robotic welding applications.
Previous welding experience/hands-on skills will be considered an asset.
Willingness to learn welding if not already certified.
Possess a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
Capability to assemble, test, install & troubleshoot robotic equipment.
Ability to read blueprints and take accurate measurements to determine quality adherence to engineering requirements.
Highly flexible, with solid interpersonal skills that allow one to work effectively in a diverse working environment.
Able to effectively communicate both verbally and in writing.
Able to work well under pressure.
Strong attention to detail.
Ability to work independently and within a team.
