We are currently looking for a Diesel Mechanic with welding experience to join our team who is energetic, fast-paced, loyal, hardworking, self-directed, and motivated with a commitment to maintaining our high-quality standards. You would be responsible for providing excellent service that meets our high-quality standards for all your responsibilities. You would be servicing, maintaining, and ensuring the efficiency of our grapple trucks as well as other machinery on site.


Compensation:

$45,000 – $65,000 yearly


Responsibilities:

  • Complete designated tasks each day
  • Maintain time and production standards set
  • Communicate to Supervisor if an issue arises
  • Responsible to maintain our high-quality service standards
  • Ensure preventive maintenance takes place
  • Report problems with equipment to ensure preventive maintenance happens
  • Constantly strive to maintain safety standards as established and required by the State of Florida and company policy
  • Aid/assist drivers in the completion of the daily Post-trip and vehicle safety inspection process
  • Conducts safety checks on vehicles and equipment
  • Complete lubrication and repair of lubrication points on vehicles as assigned on the daily schedule
  • Weld, repair, and pressure wash dumpster containers
  • Ability to learn and utilize brake inspection procedures and complete documentation daily
  • Perform basic repairs and maintenance on Heavy Duty Equipment and other service type trucks
  • Communication with A and B technicians/drivers as to issues with vehicles and discusses preventative techniques that may minimize future repairs
  • Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with corporate and OSHA standards which may include sweeping, organizing, and maintaining the shop and grounds areas
  • Able to weld and paint dumpsters
  • Maintain a high standard of Ethics and dependability
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures
  • Be flexible with work hours to ensure that tasks are completed in a timely manner
  • 40+ hours a week
  • Be available to work Monday – Friday and Saturday’s as needed


Qualifications:

  • Valid driver’s license and must have a clean driving record
  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Ability to perform physical requirements of the position with or without reasonable accommodations
  • 2 years of heavy truck repair experience
  • 1 year of welding experience
  • Able to repair air brakes, hydraulics, and conduct diagnostics
  • ASE and CDL a plus
  • Must have good communication skills and a great attitude
  • Must be teachable and eager to learn
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and be self-motivated
  • Able to work unsupervised and provide quality work
