Ironworkers

Mosaic K3 Site Underground

Term:
4-5 Months


Reporting to the Underground Supervisor
– this role will include but not limited to:


Responsibilities:

  • Read blueprints and specifications to lay out the work
  • Unload and stack steel units so each piece can be hoisted as needed
  • Position steel units, align holes and insert temporary bolts
  • Assemble and erect prefabricated metal structures
  • Build and install columns, girders, and structural frameworks out of iron and steel.


Education and Experience:

  • Valid provincial Journeyman or Experienced Apprentice
  • Pre-Access drug and alcohol testing
  • Must hold a valid class 5 license
  • Underground experience
  • Ability to work well with others in a team environment
  • Experience with ventilation / airflow underground
  • Experience with ground control underground
  • Must have a valid Fall Protection
  • Must have a valid WHMIS
  • An asset to have CWB Certified SMAW and FCAW
