The Repair Engineer will bring experience and relevant knowledge to expand a solid foundation and enhance capability for a wide range of power turbine product repair and development activities, across the EMEA region.
Part of a team who support the operation and maintenance of large gas turbines, steam turbines including accessory systems from major manufacturers.
To develop repair procedures for Steam turbine rotors, casings and components and prepare technical spec RFQs for work scope suppliers and partners.
Develop Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS) and Welding Procedure Quality Specifications (WPQR) for commonly utilised Steel alloys and super alloys.
Preparation of drawings, designs and procedures for welding or tooling to facilitate any repair and improvement or countermeasure as required.
Define repair and production processes to meet specifications in fabrication, and finishing of components to meet product requirements. .
Provides solid decision-making through sound technical reasoning, with an aptitude to collate production, material and manufacturing information allied to the ability to offer accurate interpretation of test results.
Build productive relationships with vendors, managing information; reviewing production schedules meeting project want dates.
The preparation of product and process reports by collecting, analysing, and summarising inspection, manufacturing and operating data as required ensuring the timely communication of significant issues or developments.
Contributes to team effort by accomplishing objectives and requests as needed.
Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
Travel to customer or site locations to support unplanned/forced outages or to inspect and evaluate components requiring repair.
Mechanical Engineering Degree or similar with Welding Engineering qualification being essential.
Strong knowledge and experience relevant to large and small industrial Steam turbines from major manufacturers is desirable
Development of proactive working procedures in business English (WPS, WPQR, NCR, RFA, OR).
Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary team with people with different cultures and nationalities.
Conversant in CAD Software eg SolidWorks or Creo. (Knowledge of computational modelling would be an advantage).
Must be able to travel freely within the EMEA region and work autonomously on sites with limited supervision for short periods of time.
Appreciation of Health and Safety requirements.

Ability to produce technical reports in English.
Good knowledge of MS Office suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
