POSITION SUMMARY
Quality Machine Works is seeking an experienced independent welder/fabricator to work full-time in the Paulina, LA facility.

Quality Machine provides services and products ranging from basic industrial machining and repairs to precision manufacturing. The scope of our work includes manufacturing of both fixed and rotating equipment components, as well as fabrication and repair to a wide array of industrial equipment.
Customer base ranges from global nationals to local industrial companies which primarily serve in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, Manufacturing, Transportation, and Energy sectors.
The candidate will perform the following job responsibilities:
Read and interpret fabrication drawings independently
- Follow job / fabrication written instructions as provided on each project independently
- Cut material and fit up components per drawings and, or instructions
- Make both structural and overlay welds using methods such as mig and tig weld process
- Operate Torch to cut metal – oxyfuel cutting, plasma cutting
- Operate power tools
- Handheld grinder (4” / 7”)
- Metabo Abrasive Cutting Tool
- Lift up to 33# by hand (weight of full spool of weld wire)
- Rig equipment for lifting with Overhead Crane and/or Forklift
- Operate Overhead Crane
- Operate Forklift
- Perform basic NDT on completed welds: Dye penetrant, hydrostatic testing
Hours: 7:30 – 4:00 M-F

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $61,000.00 – $91,000.00 per year
