NWP currently has an opening for a 2nd shift Fabrication Lead Person at our Saginaw, TX manufacturing facility. We are looking for dynamic, energetic and career-minded people who can make a difference and will immediately contribute to an organization positioned for growth.

Pay: $19.41 – $25.31 per hour

SUMMARY OF JOB PURPOSE:

Under minimal supervision, specializes in either layout, burn, fit, and/or tack, trains associates and writes reports.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Trains associates

 Writes reports

 Specializes in at least one of the following activities:

 Layout

 Burn

 Fit

 Tack

 Maintains time and production records.

 Maintains regular and punctual attendance.

 Works overtime as required.

 Other duties may be assigned.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs in the absence of the supervisor.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.  Must calculate any type of pipe layout, read blue prints, sketches, tape measure, instructions and specifications, draw lines and sketch legibly.

 Must operate any type of welder, any type of cutting torch, grinder, forklift, overhead crane, drill press, and hand tools such as hammers and wrenches.

 Must be able to use a jack, jog, wedge, port-a-power, and come-along.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

 High school education or equivalent for basic math and reading.

 Must also have completed higher math courses or algebra, geometry, and trigonometry.

 Project timelines and work volume / deadlines may often require working outside of standard hours, weekend or evening work, and travel to complete essential duties of this job.

 Ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form and to solve problems involving several variables.
