Job Description

Title: Welder and Fabricator

Status: Full-Time, Regular, Non-exempt

Reporting: Reports to Production Manager

Position Overview:

This position will be responsible for welding and fabricating production parts.

Duties / responsibilities:

  • Welding both aluminum and steel weldments which meet our quality and finishing standards
  • Has the skills and knowledge to MIG weld using proper technique and principles
  • Cutting, drilling, machining and preparing raw metal parts for fabrication and manufacturing
  • Support assembly when non-standard product goes into production.
  • Work with engineering to test and fabricate new product designs using welding and machining skills.
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance and repair minor damages
  • Ensures work center is clean and organized

Additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • MIG welding experience required!
  • High competency using hand and power tools
  • 2-year technical degree or 5 years of related assembly and fabrication experience required
  • Knowledge of metal properties and other material
  • Outstanding mathematical skills and analytical abilities
  • Interpret work instructions/technical drawings
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills
  • Self-motivated with ability to plan and work independently
  • Strong organization and technical skills
  • Lift parts in excess of 100 pounds.
  • Ability to operate CNC and manual lathe, mill and saw is a plus
  • Fork lift experience

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 – $50,000.00 per year
