Are you an experienced Sheetmetal Welder looking for a great company? Environmental Air Systems is one of the leading industrial HVAC engineering, manufacturing, and construction companies in the southeastern United States. We are growing rapidly and looking to add skilled Sheetmetal Welders to our Manufacturing Department.

SCHEDULE:

  • 1st shift: 6:00am-4:30pm, Monday-Thursday
  • NEW SHIFT ADDED – RATE INCREASE 2nd shift: 5:00pm-3:30pm, Monday-Thursday

LOCATION: High Point Manufacturing Facility

SHEETMETAL WELDER RESPONSBILITIES:

  • Experience welding steel using MIG, TIG, and Stick processes
  • Experience welding stainless, black, aluminum, and galvanized steel
  • Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
  • Understand and follow proper safety instructions
  • Ability to work independently and in a team environment
  • Ability to train new employees
  • Other duties may be added as needed by supervision

EDUCATION:

  • High school diploma or GEC
  • 3-years past experience in TIG and Stick welding

JOB REQUIREMENTS/SPECIAL SKILLS:

Specific Sheetmetal Welding Skills:

  • Ability to pass visual welding test/written basic skills test
  • Good verbal communication skills with other employees
  • Positive attitude
  • Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement
  • Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
  • Ability to read blueprints
  • Familiarity with all metals

Specific Physical Skills:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs when necessary
