Overview
We Quality Institution for Engineering – QI are seeking Coded Welders for an ongoing role based. The successful applicant will be able to commence as soon as possible.
Key Responsibilities:
Fabricate/perform repairs on carbon steel tanks, pipes and structures.
Interpret engineering and technical drawings
Project will require the successful applicant to perform alternative duties (not welding or boiler making) when welding work is not available. This will be in line with capabilities and skillsets, and where appropriate training will be provided.
The successful applicant will ideally have:
- Boilermaker/Welder Trade Certificate
- Able to pass MMAW 6G weld test
- Experience working in a refinery environment
- Australian Drivers Licence/own transport
- Working at Heights (completed within 2 years)
- Confined Spaces (completed within 2 years)
- High-Risk Work Licence (desirable)
- Rigging qualification (desirable)
- Be physically fit and able to pass a pre-employment medical and D&A screen
- A positive attitude towards Zero Harm, safety & environment
