Founded in 1988, specializing in the fabrication and manufacturing of stainless steel tube fittings for the food, beverage and pharmaceutical industries. We are looking for a TIG welder for thin-wall stainless steel tube fittings.

Job Description:

Mixture of production runs and custom-fabricated pieces.

All welds happen at a workstation, all work happens on-site in our Mississauga plant.

Primarily using a turntable-style orbital welder (stationary stick while fitting is rotated automatically). Some hand welding is necessary.

Most products are 16-Gauge 304 and 316L stainless steel

Outer Diameter of tube products are 0.5″ – 4″, with occasional 6″ (hand-weld only)

Welder must adjust amperage, gas, and speed to ensure a consistent, fully purged & penetrated weld which will be polished completely smooth by our polishing department.

Responsibilities:

  • Proficient in manual TIG welding.
  • Set up and operate TIG welding machine to fabricate metal parts as per the specifications.
  • Read and interpret drawings dimensions, specifications, manuals and processes.
  • Examine welds and ensure that they meet standards and/or specifications.
  • Maintains the work area and equipment in a clean and orderly condition and follows prescribed safety regulations.
  • Complete and pass yearly TSSA Welding Operator Certificate of Competency exam for both manual and machine operation.
  • Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.

Hours & Ideal candidate:

Full-Time 7:00AM to 3:30PM Monday to Friday.
(Part time opportunities may be available)

Paid vacation starts after 1-year @ 2 weeks, and continues to grow based on tenure.

This position would prefer a candidate who would be reliable, on-time and long-term. (Candidates with frequent, unscheduled absences are not ideal.)
Car is not required — The Mississauga Transit 51N and 51S stops are within 1 block of our building.

TSSA Welder Certificate is welcomed but not required.
