Overview
Davit Master Corporation is a American family-owned small business seeking a full-time mig welder that is willing to be cross trained in building/wiring winches. To support our ability to provide the flexible work-life balance our team “floats” by learning each department. This allows for less disturbances to the day to day operations when people take time off, allows for increased efficiency and time management, and enables us to pivot on a needs basis to accommodate our dealers as their schedules change due to permitting issues and/or weather. Two years of mig welding is required, as well as the ability to read a tape measure, and use tools/machines such as a drill, band saw, punch press, iron worker, etc.
Our ethos is commitment to balance between work and what work is for – to help support us in living a full life. Some of the policies we have to support this vision are as following
1) One week vacation after year of employment, two weeks vacation available after your second year.
2) Close an hour early every Wednesday (you are paid for that hour) to get caught up with daily life, kids (we all know about those last minute projects), and/or to have spaciousness to be.
3) Guaranteed a 3 day weekend every month (the day off is paid) to help prevent burnout.
4) Optional guided meditation before break, helps the mind discharge from thoughts and allows the body to shift out of “work” mode into the parasympathetic nervous system (rest and digest state of being).
5) Four “paid days off” – can be used for a mental health day, sick day, etc. No requirement of explanation, your time is your time. More can be added by the discretion of management.
6) “Live Your Life to the Fullest” Day (8/18) – paid day off, every employee gets $100 to spend towards having fun, as well as $10 towards a random act of kindness. “Give, and you will receive. Your gift will return to you in full…”
Eligible for health benefits, dental benefits, and 10k life insurance policy after 90 days.
Salary: starting at $20.00 / hour (raises are not done yearly or by time basis, as your knowledge and productivity grows it will be reflected in your pay immediately)
Hours – M-F 7:00 A.M. – 3:30 P.M.
Wednesday 7:00 A.M – 2:30 P.M (will be paid extra hour as part of work-life balance incentive program)
