Our Opening and Your Responsibilities
Role/Purpose:
Capable of TIG welding Stainless Steel light gauge sheet or tubing into weldments
from engineering drawings. Can perform all duties of Welder III and Welder II. Must be
able to set up press brake, shear, rollers, for fabrication and grind/sand to achieve
required finish.
Lead needs to be able to assign tasks, control product flow and regulate hours
needed to operate a successful department.
Responsibilities:
Fabricate sheet metal bins or hoppers
Weld all frame weldments despite complications
Set priority tasks, using provided schedules / reports
Calculate and setup press brake for sheet metal forming
Train level 2 and 3 welders to perform operation on all machines
Control raw material inventory and insure correct materials are allocated
What You Need to Succeed
Proficient in:
Fabrication of weldments and sheet metal structures from drawings maintaining
flatness and squareness
Operation of a TIG welder, setup, and maintenance
Operate drill press, hand grinders/sanders, and band saw
Layout of sheet metal for forming, bending, and welding
Control raw material inventory utilizing shop routers and computers
Required Skills:
Proficient blueprint knowledge, with attention to dimensions and tolerances
Fabrication shop practices
Organizational proficiency
Superior TIG welding skills
High level of skill with grinding/sanding tools
Understanding of sheet metal bending and forming allowances
Perform inspection checks on processed parts
Utilize grinding/sanding equipment to resurface welds or establish finish “grains”
Operate drill press, milling machine, band saws, and ironworker
Extensive product knowledge
Ability to safely lift 50 lbs and work in multiple positions.

Machine shop experience
AutoCAD experience
Shop mathematics
