We have an immediate opening for a CNC Operator / Plastic Fabricator. Under the direction of the Operations Manager, the CNC Operator works within TI Group standards for quality and performance, to perform specific and general manufacturing duties.
This opportunity is for our day shift Monday – Friday for a total of 40 hrs./week with an opportunity for overtime. Shifts may change based on needs of Company.
Key Responsibilities:
· Have a working knowledge of a variety of product materials (e.g., Styrene, Coroplast, Acrylic, Pet-G, Corrugate, Komatex, Gatorboard, Foamcore, Cardstock, Vinyl, Magnet, MXM)
- Prepare and operate CNC machine to perform a variety of tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling etc.
- Understand specifications of job requirements and the desired end results
- Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines
- Prepare test runs to check to ensure desired outputs according to specifications
- Make any necessary adjustments to production process as required
- Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to ensure job accuracy
· Adhere and promote department safety program
Additional Responsibilities:
- Maintain machine cleanliness and basic day-to-day maintenance
- Operate within Quality and Health & Safety guidelines according to company policy
- Maintain a strong operational knowledge of all production equipment.
- Willingness to learn new equipment as required
Other Requirements:
- Physically fit and capable of handling different types of materials weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Available for unscheduled additional hours and different shifts of work.
- Required to work on weekend overtime.
· Organized and responsible with a sense of urgency to meet deadlines.
- Methodical and good attention to details.
- Able to work independently and in a team environment.
- Ability to multi task and works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Collaborative, share new ideas, explores new methods.
- Strong communication skills
Education:
Years of Experience:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a manufacturing setting.
