Job Description
The painter’s job is to support the production department by doing all the required preparation and finishing applications in a workmanlike manner that meets or exceeds the organizations quality and productivity standards in the overall effort to produce architectural and electric signage.
Job Duties
1. Preparation of substrates, sub assemblies and fabricated products
2. Color mixing
3. Application of finishes and coatings
4. Maintain tools and equipment
5. Keep department inventory
6. Maintain and control a safe work environment
7. Report quality deficiencies
8. Keep accurate job costs of labor and materials
Skills and Required Attributes
1. Advanced automotive painting capabilities including working with:
i. metal, wood and plastic
ii. panel fillers, sealants and adhesives
iii. etching, degreasing, sanding and polishing
iv. acrylic polyurethane, lacquers, alkyd and latex enamels
v. color mixing and tinting
vi. HVC and airless spray systems
vii. hand painting with brushes and rollers
viii. touch-ups, repairs and blending coatings
2. Work well with fellow Employees, Customers and Vendors
3. Work quickly while being efficient and paying attention to details with limited errors and omissions
4. Results orientated, with positive, friendly attitude
Job Type: Full-time
Salary: $20.00-$28.00 per hour
