Jardeg is recruiting B-Pressure Welders by Hand to join the team supporting the Shell Scotford Maintenance project near Fort Saskatchewan, Alberta. Local candidates to Edmonton or Fort Saskatchewan area as project is drive-in only.

This position is full-time temporary until December 31st on the following schedule options:

  • a combined 5 on 2 off one week, then 4 on 3 off next week (all 9-hour days but 5th day on week 1 is 8)
  • straight 4/3 shift (Monday to Thursday every week – 10-hour days)

Hand Welders:

  • Weld up to 30 inches (FDI) per day when material is available, some welds may be customized while others may be repetitive procedures to complete the work.
  • Use welding processes such as SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, GTAW, or SAW to weld pressure piping.
  • Follow various company policies and procedures such as:
  • ISO 9001-2008,
  • Graham’s Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS),
  • Client Specific WPS, and
  • Graham’s Safety Program.

Position Qualifications:

  • Journeyperson Certificate of Completion in the Welding trade.
  • B-Pressure Certification from Alberta Boilers Safety Association (ABSA).
  • Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection.
  • Energy Safety Canada Confined Space.
  • Aerial Work Platform.
  • Breathing Air Ticket/RPE with Bottle Watch.
  • Full Driving license and 5-year Abstract.
  • Successful pass of weld test on production welds is a requirement.

Welding Tickets:

  • F3/F4,
  • F6/F5 – Stainless TIG,
  • F6 GTAW Max Thickness, and
  • CWB SMAW.
