About the Company:

Dovetail Custom Wood and Metal is an architectural manufacturing company that focuses on engineering and building custom products out of wood, metal, and stone for large commercial projects. Our projects include high-rise hotels, condominiums, medical facilities, schools and universities, and sports complexes.

About the Position:

A Meal Fabricator at Dovetail will work on projects that include custom metal doors, windows, storefront applications, wall and ceiling panels, casework accessories, stair railing, and other ornate and unique art pieces. We work with materials, yet not limited to stainless, hot and cold rolled steel, aluminum, structural beams, cross bar, copper, and brass. We are looking for a candidate with multiple years of experience in fabrication, with the ability to read and articulate shop and general construction drawings, and perform installation. The Dovetail metal department is a team-oriented, fun, and exciting culture.

Responsibilities:

· Read and interpret shop drawings

· Use typical shop equipment to cut, drill and prepare material for fabrication while maintaining tight dimensional tolerances

· Weld and fabricate, maintaining tight dimensional tolerances

· Grinding, blending, and cleaning of weldments

· Operate equipment such as forklift and scissor lift

· General cleanup and organization

· Maintain and care for shop tools, company equipment and shop vehicle

Qualifications:

· Minimum of 3-5 years architectural welding experience preferred

· Working knowledge of all Welding Processes.

· Strong in TIG and MIG needed

· Strong skills fabricating and finishing stainless a plus

· High attention to detail.

· Must be able to own your projects and work through problems promptly.

· Ideal candidates will be able to self-motivated and critical thinker

· Must have a strong work ethic and a good attitude.

· Must be able to read and build from prints and shop drawing

· Valid driver’s license

· Team player with a focused attention to detail

Certifications:

· 3G & 4G FCAW & SMAW preferred but not required
