Overview
We are looking for an experienced Journeyperson Welder to work directly on site for our clients’ projects and operational needs. You would be working in an open pit mine environment working on heavy equipment while adhering to our safety standards.
What would you be doing?
Read and interpret blueprints or welding process specifications.
Recognize defective welds, know the cause, and repair procedure for the defective area.
Fuse metals safety and effectively use prescribed welding applications.
Perform tasks in accordance with industry quality and production standards.

B-Pressure ticket is asset
CWB is required
Has CSO or willing to obtain in order to be considered for this positon
Has prior shop and field experience
Know and understand metals, arc electrodes, welding gases and gas welding filler roads
Know and understand the welding equipment involved in various procedures
Have physical strength, stamina, and the use of proper lifting techniques
Required to manage heavy materials and stand for extended periods
Are adaptable and can work in a team environment
Have safety as a top priority
Able to read and understand complex instructions
Perks of the Job
Competitive Total Compensation starting from $50/hr dependant on experience
Camp Position
FIFO from Edmonton, Calgary or bus from Fort McMurray
7-7 schedule
Benefits after 300 hours
Other important details
This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of a drug and alcohol testing, audiometric and mask fit is a requirement and you will be requested to be clean shaven.
