JOB SUMMARY:

The Fabricator /Technician is tasked with building and assembling components according to specifications. You will also use production and inventory tracking tools to record job time and claim parts needed for each assembly. Our ideal applicant has mechanical assembly experience and manual dexterity.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Build and assemble mechanical components according to specifications.

· Produce accurate and itemized orders for customers.

· Examine new machines and oversee diagnostic tests to determine functionality.

· Design a plan of action for all tasks and upgrades.

· Maintain work logs when necessary.

· Communicate with Production Planner to monitor inventory.

· Keep shop clean and organized.

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

· High School diploma required.

· Mechanical aptitude required.

· 1+ years’ experience in a similar role.

· Manufacturing experience required.

TRAINING:

· On-the-job training will be provided, as needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

The Fabricator/Technician generally works five days per week but may be required to work outside this schedule occasionally, depending on business demands. Regular working hours are 8:00am – 4:30pm but could work earlier or later to meet organizational needs. The Fabricator/Technician is generally working in an indoor shop environment, standing for the duration of the day.

REMUNERATION:

This is a position that provides competitive remuneration based upon experience and skill set. The wage for this position ranges between $20 and $40 per hour, depending on mechanical assembly experience, and leadership skills. The higher end of the wage scale would be someone who could manage a team of assembly techs. Incumbents of this position earn 4% vacation after one year of employment.
