Overview

Position Summary: Weld various vessel parts per company drawings/specifications using ASME approved and qualified welding procedure specifications. Use and maintain related shop equipment for welding and product movement.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities: may include any or all of the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Have general understanding of AWS/ASME requirements for weld sizes, multiply passes, pre-heating, inner pass temperatures, partial and full penetration welds.
Weld test -100% weld with a root pass then a sub arc 100% x-ray Per ASME requirements
Must keep up a 95% Pass Rate on X-Ray of products welded
Read and interpret company drawings and weld specifications
Operate Forklift / Overhead Crane
Operate and maintain welding equipment efficiently
Identify problems, communicate, provide input, and assist in resolution
Desire to work in a fast-paced, organized and positive environment
Ability to frequently lift, push, and slide packages that typically may weigh up to 70 lbs
Follow all company safety rules and procedures. Capable of working in a safe and productive manner.
Education & Experience:
2 years of recent Sub Arc experience in a ASME Code Shop
GED or Diploma
