Welder and fabricator apprentice
Access Control Technologies is a part of the Access Control Systems family which is a growing organization with offices in three states. This is an entry level position with fantastic opportunity for growth and advancement. The qualifications listed below for the right person can give an applicant a chance to develop career skills with an established organization.
This is an apprentice position, and the applicant is to be trained under the supervision of a senior fabricator in all aspects of welding and fabrication for ornamental aluminum gates and specialty items. Welding experience is helpful but not required as we will train in our specific processes and procedures. We would also consider an experienced fabricator and the pay would reflect the experience level.
Applicants’ requirements:
Must be physically fit and able to lift 75lbs or more and be able to work standing on concrete floors for 40+ hours a week
Must speak English fluently
Have basic mechanical understanding such as working with common hand tools and tape measure.
Have a strong work ethic and the ability to work 8 to 10 hours a day in the normal outdoor Florida environment. The job is indoors but not air conditioned.
Have a high school diploma or equivalent and basic math and writing skills are required to perform the job.
Ability to follow instructions and train in the job duties
Have reliable transportation to be able to report to work consistently
Schedule flexibility to work second shifts at times of heavy workloads which will also mean overtime work and pay as required.
A clean driving record is preferred as on some occasions the driving of a company vehicle may be necessary.

Pay: $15.00 – $20.00 per hour
