Intrepid Powerboats manufacturers high quality semi-custom boats from 24’ – 48’. We are a 30+ year stable company with extensive demand for boats within our iconic brand. We are looking for a Machinist/Metal Fabricator member to join our TEAM at the main production facility located in Largo, Florida. What to Expect:

Plan and perform work requiring a thorough knowledge of metal work via machining and welding parts, shaping, and forming, using written specifications and company procedures.

What You’ll Do:

Including but not limited to the following:

  • Operates all machines related to metal working; lathes, Bridgeport, shear, grinder/polishers, and MIG/TIG welding.
  • May rework any defective parts, coordinate with materials and manufacturing departments, and ensures parts are modified to specification.
  • Able to help with engineering and problem solving for custom modifications

What You’ll Bring:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Knowledge of all facets of fabrication including welding and metal work.
  • Prefer at least 5 years’ experience and/or vocational training certification, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience and ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Must be able to work any shift and overtime as required
  • Complies with all policies, specifications, regulations, and instructions
  • Perform all tasks in a safe and responsible manner

While performing the duties of this job:

  • The employee is regularly required to stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl: and talk and hear.
  • Will sit, stand or walk short distances for up to 10 hours per day
  • Will climb stairs on an occasional basis
  • Will exert up to 50 pounds of force to lift, push or pull on a regular basis
  • May reach above shoulder heights and below the waist on a frequent basis
  • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus
