Pay Rate: $29.14/hr.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Fabricates, joins and/or repairs metals, components using oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG and TIG welding techniques.
Assist in the implementation of master plan to ensure goals and projects and daily productivity.
Operates grinders, positioners, chop and band saws, and a variety of welding equipment and hand tools.
Responsible for keeping track of company tools and equipment.
Performs a 100% inspection on the first completed part, continue to check parts during the run-in accordance to the inspection report.
Ensures Proper Square, plumb, level and flushness of projects
Capable of foreseeing obstructions, problems, dangers in the planning/fabrication stage and properly preparing a way to complete the task at hand to achieve the original goal.
Calculates machine speed and feed ratios and the size and position of cuts.
Stops machines to remove finished material or to change tooling, setup, or material placement, according to required machining sequences.
Listens to machines during operation to detect sounds such as those made by dull cutting tools or excessive vibration and adjust machines to compensate for problems.
Monitors machine operation and control panel display and compare readings to specifications to detect malfunctions.
Ability to read and use tape measure, and measuring tools, and blueprint specifications.
Manages welding supply and material needs.
Responsible for installing, repairing, adjusting, modifying, troubleshooting, and performing preventative maintenance on all types of plant equipment and facility.
Inspects, dismantle, repair, replace, install, clean, and assemble as necessary to maintain equipment/buildings as necessary.
Communicates information to maintenance supervision and engineering to assist in analyzing equipment or for the purpose of making equipment modifications.
Responsible for taking a proactive approach to continuous improvement including productivity, quality, safety, environmental, and ergonomics as well as being a contributing team member in a fast-paced environment.
Maintains a clean and orderly work environment.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to fit and install pipe
Knowledge of welding techniques (oxygen-acetylene, electric arc, MIG, TIG, tools and equipment.
Ability to weld vertical, overhead, or flat welds with acceptable quality consistently.
Ability to successfully weld pipe and pass a leak check
Skill in the fabrication, joining and repair of a variety of metal objects, equipment, fixtures and structures.
Able to understand and execute instructions/directions.
Must be available to work weekends and/or overtime.
Ability to work and concentrate in a noisy environment.
Ability to wear protective equipment such as earplugs, safety glasses, gloves, welding helmets, boots, respirators, etc.
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment as well as within a team.
Ability to lift to 50 lbs.
Skill in both verbal and written communication.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE (include certificates, licenses, or registrations required)
Formal training and/or welding certification preferred.
Prior experience in a plant environment preferred.
High School diploma or equivalent a must.
