Summary: Seeking qualified individuals for a Welder role. Prior Aluminum welding experience is required
Job Responsibilities:
Identify proper welding wire and alloy used for the applicable base metal
Ability to change wire, rollers, tips, diffusers, nozzles and set up proper tension on rollers
Ability to set proper welding parameters (voltage and wire speed)
Demonstrate competency in GMAW techniques with solid wire on aluminum in the Flat, Horizontal and Vertical Fillet Positions
Demonstrate competency in post welding treatment – i.e. brushing, cleaning, straightening and weld quality
Pass Welding Performance Test 9given on-site during interview process – Q.A. determination)
Fast paced assembly style facility
Ability to handle several hundred small welds applied in a single shift
Ability to work in a team-based environment
Ability to perform in compliance with company safety rules
Job Requirements:
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Basic math skills
Must demonstrate the ability to safely left up to 40 lbs. on a repetitive basis
Must have the ability to stand on hard surfaces while working for 8 hours or more/day
Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled temperatures for 8 hours or more/day
Education and Work Requirements:
High School Diploma or GED equivalent
Technical Training Desired, with a focus in Welding
Minimum 1 yr. experience with Aluminum Welds
Welding Certification a plus
OSHA training a plus
