Position Purpose: Demonstrates knowledge of operational processes. Performs required work safely and uniformly within operation guidelines & standards but does not necessarily have proven proficiency in specific skillset within department.

Job Assignment

Core Accountabilities

Coil Bay Operator

· Moves and block coils

· Organizes and stages coils by size, gauge, grade, etc. for the end welder

· Utilizes a caliper and micrometer to measure the received coil

· Visually inspects the received coils

· Communicates with Quality Supervisor and Production Supervisor regarding any issues with the quality checks performed

· Operates crane within limits of equipment in a safe, productive manner

· Places materials in proper storage areas

End Facer

· Operates end facer and associated equipment in a productive manner while monitoring all quality aspects of the product.

· Troubleshoots and makes necessary adjustments or notify supervisor if the problem is not correctable.

· Works with other end facers on a team basis.

· Assists in mill changeovers.

· Perform maintenance on equipment as required.

End Welder

· Changeover and set up mills.

· Perform the splicing process.

· Set up end welder

· Perform maintenance on equipment as required.

· Communicate and work with Welder Operator on a team basis.

FBUT Operator

· Operates machinery to test various quality standards

· Successfully detects and communicates surface, subsurface, internal, and dimensional flaws in pipe

Hydrotest Operator

· Operate hydro equipment in a safe productive manner.

· Test pipe at high pressure as per specifications.

· Change over equipment as required.

· Perform maintenance on hydro equipment when required.

OTO Saw Operator

· Operate Oto Saw in a safe productive manner.

· Cut material to specific tolerance.

· Responsible for sizing and straightening of pipe.

· Monitor quality and notify the supervisor if the problem is not corrected.

· Perform regular maintenance on saw and conveyors.

· Maintain stencil head.

Straightener Operator + Crush Test

· Operate the cross roll straightener in a safe and productive manner

· Make adjustments to CRS rolls for setups and crooked pipe.

· Monitor pipe after the straightening process.

· Notifies the supervisor and quality if the pipe is not straight.

· Performs crush test.

· Reports results to the Production and Quality Supervisors.

Welder Operator

· Changeover and set up mills.

· Threads, monitors and troubleshoots pipe making process.

· Continuously monitors weld integrity, inside flash and overall quality of product being produced.

· Perform maintenance on mill as required.

· Communicate and work with End Welder and OTO Saw Operator on a team basis.

Machine Operator – Relief

· Perform responsibilities of any operator as needed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 – $20.00 per hour
