Dependable Truck & Tank Limited/Dependable Emergency Vehicles is accepting applications for the position of Pipe Welder Fitter. Looking for candidates with the knowledge and experience in pipe welding. Welding materials include aluminum, steel and stainless steel. Welding processes include Stick, Mig, Tig and acetylene welding depending on the material and the procedure.

Candidates will not only welding experience but custom fitting experience as well and have a mechanical aptitude to install pipes and pumps. Dealing with truck mounted piping, applicants must know how to measure, cut, and create Victaulic ends on piping, weld them on a bench, then install them on the trucks. Candidates must have their own set of tools such as small wrenches, grinders etc. All larger tools like pipe wrenches and larger grinders will be provided by company.

Responsibilities:

  • Welding aluminum, stainless steel and steel
  • Read blueprints and show drawings for custom work
  • Use machine shop tools such as manual mill, lathe, brake presses, drill presses and shears to cut, bend and tap parts, experience with manual plasma torch, chop saw, hand drills and grinders.
  • Positioning and installation of pumps on truck chassis frame
  • Pipe assembly and installation to truck and pump

Skills:

  • Work from blueprints and raw materials to finished parts that can be welded together into complete products
  • Candidate must be flexible, reliable and punctual
  • Previous experience working on custom pieces and be comfortable working with aluminum and stainless.
  • Strong attention to detail

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: $25.00-$29.00 per hour
