Welder – C

PDQ Staffing is currently recruiting for Welders. This is a temp to hire position. As a Welder, you’ll apply appropriate welding processes to join, surface, fabricate, and repair parts of metal or other weldable materials according to layouts, work orders, blueprints, schematics, and sketches using manual, automatic welding, and/or semi-automatic welding equipment. Need expedites Flux-Core, MIG and Cutting Torch.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

• Hand weld in all positions, fillet and groove
• Perform repairs to subassemblies for final product
• Perform oxy-fuel welding
• Perform carbon arc welding
• Work on top car tank, inside car tank
• Work on insulation on the car tank
• Heat Treat able to work in different areas
• Keep work area clean
• Must be willing to work an environment that can be hot/cold, dirty and dusty.
• Must be ok working 6 days a week 10 hours shifts including Saturdays.
• Must be clean-shaven always.
• Must be willing to wear required PPE, Welding hood and welding gloves
• Must be prepared to retake PFT (pulmonary function test) and pass.
• Must be prepared for alternating lunch schedules to accommodate welder’s schedule.
