COMPANY DESCRIPTION
Flex-Pression Ontario manufactures and supplies flexible metal / SS braided hose, metal expansion joints, many other types of hose assemblies and related fluid conveyance products.
Our products meet all compliance requirements for the oil, pulp and paper, steel industries and many more. We are certified by all regulatory authorities applicable to our products: the C.S.A, all B.P.V. authorities (the T.S.S.A in Ontario), the U.L.C and to ISO 9001:2015 standards.
MAIN TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Under direction of the production manager and senior employees, the production worker will be required to learn and complete the following tasks in order according to company procedures:
- Perform preparatory / assembly work on company products per given instructions:
Determine, measure and cut / grind material with power saws, angle grinders, air tools etc. to required measurements,
- Perform various final finishing processes for completed (tested and passed) products, including buffing stainless steel materials and painting carbon steel materials,
- Perform pressure testing and/or inspection of company products per given instructions,
- Identify non-conformances and confer / work with other employees to determine a suitable course of action,
- Perform introductory / trial GTAW (TIG) welding processes,
- Attain necessary qualifications for welding company products,
- Perform welding of company products per given instructions / procedures.
- Use and maintain all supplied equipment and tools to ensure functionality and safety.
Once the preceding / primary tasks are attained, the employee may potentially be trained in the following tasks if determined to be beneficial for the company:
- Filling out and affixing tags and final inspection of finished products prior to shipping / customer delivery,
- Complete or assist with packaging finished products,
- Complete or assist with incoming inspection of materials.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
- Must exhibit attention to detail and time-efficient, careful and precise workmanship,
- Ability and experience using measurement, electrical, air-powered and manual tools,
- Experience using GTAW (TIG) welding equipment and procedures is preferred,
- Must have some welding experience, knowledge and/or training,
- Ability to read and interpret technical documents and drawings is preferred.
