We are seeking skilled professional and certified red seal steamfitters / pipefitters to become part of our mechanical construction team to work in our Fabrication facility (process piping assembly for Yorkton installation) in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.

Candidates should have a good working knowledge on how to install, maintain, and repair pipes and equipment used in heating, cooling, and industrial systems. Candidates should be able to work with a welder on process piping. Piping ranges from 14 to 20 inches.

Compensation / Hours

  • $43.94 per hour

  • Pension 5% of hourly wages earned

Qualifications

  • Valid Certified Red Seal Steamfitter or experienced Gas Fitter
  • Completion of a steam fitting apprenticeship program (or equivalent)
  • Experience in mechanical construction, plumbing, or HVAC is a plus
  • Physical ability to work in a construction environment and lift heavy materials
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
  • Good communication and teamwork abilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Install and repair pipes and equipment used in heating, cooling, and industrial piping systems
  • Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to ensure proper installation and repair
  • Use hand and power tools, welding equipment, and other machinery to cut, bend, and shape pipes and fittings
  • Test and maintain systems to ensure they are working properly and efficiently
  • Troubleshoot and repair problems as needed
  • Always follow safety regulations and guidelines
  • Maintaining tools and equipment
  • Communicate with team members and supervisor to ensure project is completed on time and within budget
