Job Position: Die Maker / Wire Drawing Operator (Aluminium / Copper) Wire’s Bar Major Intersection: Tomken Road and Derry Road, Mississauga PAY RATE: $25.09 AN HOUR • Shift: afternoon shift, 3.00pm-11.00pm • (TRAINING during day 7.00 am – 3.00pm for 3 months), temp to perm. Summary – • The Wire Drawing or Breakdown Operator- operates the Machine. • Firstly, to put the copper or aluminum bar in the die moulding machine. Which makes the bar thinner by pressing it. • The process is Mostly automated. Operator has to set the tolerance pressure/ density of the wire – to set in the computer. • Breakdown Line to draw wire to the proper specification requirements. • Check the Density of bars to put them in the cable or wire form. How thin the copper wire or aluminium wire should be. • The finished wire shall be free of waves and kinks. • At every point the copper / aluminium wires are in a big round shaped reel the operator has to do cleaning of machine. • To identify each reel with the manufacturing codes, and date manufactured. • Operator shall be responsible for operating the benches to draw wire to the scheduled finished size. • This includes total responsibility for meeting all quality requirements relative to specifications for cleanliness, finished wire diameter, and cast and helix. • Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Supervisor and/or Department Manager. Requirement: • Must be familiar with and understand all specifications and procedures required for Intermediate wire drawing. • Must have a basic education with the ability to understand specifications and procedures. Must be physically fit and mechanically inclined. • The Wire Mill Team Leader and or Department Manager in conjunction with other experienced personnel shall train the Intermediate Operator. Skill Required: Must be proficient and understand the use of the following: 1. Draw benches 2. Pay-off stands 3. Micrometer/Vernier 4. Butt welder 5. Die setups 6. Draw chain 7. Wire Pointer Education- Must have a High School education or equivalent experience.

Salary: $23.00-$25.09 per hour
