Overview
Perform equipment rack fabrication at AVI-SPL office. Update firmware on equipment before install starts onsite. Assist with prepping project deliverables and materials lists. Responsible to keep area clean and organized.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Solder and crimp connectors where needed
- Construct equipment racks and perform metalwork fabrication where required
- Load equipment rack as per layout drawing and wire per system schematic
- Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
- Troubleshoot fabrication issues when requested by client or office
- Assist with and perform installation tasks. Duties may include but are not limited to: Pulling cable installing connectors projector mounting/hanging (ceiling mounts) and metal fabrication

- Demonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills
- Ability to configure equipment via a network. Connect to equipment and load firmware/files.
Education and/or Experience
- Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
- Demonstrated working knowledge of AV practice and fabrication techniques
- Experience and knowledge of installing connectors projector mounting/hanging metal fabrication is preferred
- Valid ECS/CSCS card
- InfoComm CTS qualification
- Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
