Description:

Perform equipment rack fabrication at AVI-SPL office. Update firmware on equipment before install starts onsite. Assist with prepping project deliverables and materials lists. Responsible to keep area clean and organized.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Solder and crimp connectors where needed
  • Construct equipment racks and perform metalwork fabrication where required
  • Load equipment rack as per layout drawing and wire per system schematic
  • Read and interpret electronic schematics and architectural blueprints
  • Troubleshoot fabrication issues when requested by client or office
  • Assist with and perform installation tasks. Duties may include but are not limited to: Pulling cable installing connectors projector mounting/hanging (ceiling mounts) and metal fabrication

  • Demonstrated customer service focus and client communication skills
  • Ability to configure equipment via a network. Connect to equipment and load firmware/files.

Education and/or Experience

  • Minimum High school diploma or equivalent
  • Demonstrated working knowledge of AV practice and fabrication techniques
  • Experience and knowledge of installing connectors projector mounting/hanging metal fabrication is preferred
  • Valid ECS/CSCS card
  • InfoComm CTS qualification
  • Valid Driver’s License and a Motor Vehicle Record that meets AVI-SPL driving standards
