Weldco-Beales Manufacturing designs and manufactures specialized heavy equipment attachments for the construction, forestry, mining, scrap recycling, road maintenance and resource industries throughout Canada, the USA and internationally. Weldco-Beales is currently recruiting a General Labourer/Apprentice Welder for the Edmonton manufacturing team. This position will report to the General Foreman.

What you will do:
Help troubleshoot, maintain, repair or replace defective parts, and make suggestions for potential improvements,

Help follow preventative maintenance programs and maintain records,

Help clean, lubricate and perform other routine maintenance work on machinery,

Read diagrams and schematic drawings to determine work procedures, inspect and examine machinery and equipment to detect and investigate irregularities and malfunctions,

Shot blast plate to prep for fabrication

Transport raw materials and finished metal products manually, using hoists or other devices

Grind and deburr sharp edges from metal parts using hand and power tools

Load and unload metal parts from fixtures and move parts using hand truck or dolly

Operate forklifts, jib and overhead cranes

Perform other duties as required

Your qualifications:
A minimum of one year of related experience

High school diploma

Crane & Rigging experience is an asset

Ability to operate Fork Lift is an asset

Knowledge of general safety practices

General knowledge of basic tools and equipment

Ability to lift items weighing up to 50 lbs.
