Overview
The Weld/Fabrication Supervisor Position.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
- Promote a safe working environment through training, accountability, and use of PPE.
- Supervise daily activities and establish work schedules to achieve production targets.
- Assure that production team members are trained to effectively follow work instructions and meet acceptable quality standards.
- Develop team member abilities through coaching, performance appraisal, and setting goals.
- Communicate critical safety, quality, and business information in an effective manner.
- Actively participate in problem solving and project teams developed to achieve continuous improvement.
- Analyze department production data to determine root causes of issues, and lead efforts to resolve those issues and improve performance.
- Prepare and distribute manufacturing report summaries as needed.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
Skills and Qualifications:
- 7 – 10 years of Welding (GMAW/GTAW) experience
- 7 – 10 years of Fabrication experience
- 2 – 3 years of Supervisory experience in Welding and/or Fabrication
- Good verbal and written skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office. Knowledge of MES or Epicor a plus.
- Good basic math and measurement skill – proficient in reading blueprints.
- Attention to detail and problem-solving skills – experience with Lean and 8D processes a plus.
- Leadership experience and team management skills

Schedule:
- 10-hour shift
- 1 Night shift position (2:30pm to 1:30am)
- 1 Day shift position (4:00am to 2:30pm)
