Position Summary
Edmonton Exchanger is a one stop manufacturing and maintenance shop that supplies pressure vessel components, provides field services, machining services, heat exchanger services, custom fabrication and pipe fabrication.
We are searching for an energetic, self-motivated Journeyman Welder or B Pressure Welder with Sub Arc Welding experience to work in our Manufacturing Facility.
Combined Compensation Rate:
$56.67/hour- B Welder (details below)
$51.69/hour- Journeyman Welder (details below)

Reporting Relationships
Journeyman Welder or B Welder will report directly to the General Foreman.
Principal Duties, Responsibilities and Accountability
The successful candidate will have Sub Arc Welding (SAW) experience welding carbon steel and stainless steel. They must also be willing to work either swing shift, which is 2 weeks on 7:30am to 4pm shift and 2 weeks on 4:00pm to 12:30am shift on a rotating basis or midnight shift which is 12:15am to 7:45am. Swing shift and midnight shifts are Monday to Friday. The employee will receive a rate increase of $1.75/hour when on afternoon shift (swing shift). The employee will receive a rate increase of $1.50/hour and get paid 8 hours for working 7 hours on midnight shift.
Edmonton Exchanger is a union facility (Boilermaker 146). The successful candidate would need to register with Union Hall Dispatch before starting the position. There will be a registration fee required at the Union Hall and dues that will need to be paid.

Qualifications
The following qualifications are desirable to ensure success in this position.
- Must have extensive Sub Arc Welding (SAW) experience.
- Ability to operate overhead crane and forklift with emphasis on safety is desired.
