ABOUT THIS CAREER OPPORTUNITY
As leaders in the building of cellular telecommunications infrastructures, One Way Wireless Construction, Inc. is viewed as a one-stop contractor where our expertise in constructing, testing, and maintaining makes us the reliable and highly tenured team where we are chosen again and again by our cellular and other industry-related customers.
Our Modifications team focuses on increasing the strength of the various telecom structures we work on. The scope of work could require welding, cutting, grinding, drilling and other procedures. Most work is at heights around 100′-400′. Occasionally some work is required to be performed on the ground level. We are looking for an individual that is willing to weld, climb and do it all. Most of our projects are currently in the central states (KS, MO,IA, NE, IL, MN)
This position typically travels 7-14 days at a time and receives an ample amount of overtime. For the right person that holds above-average qualifications, we are willing to pay an above-average wage.
On top of your wage, you will receive an awesome benefits package and $150 per Diem, and paid drive time when traveling.
Requirements:
- Must possess the ability to promote and model OWWC’s core values of integrity, quality, safety, productivity, stewardship, brotherhood, and agility
- Obtain and maintain correct industry needed certifications
- Valid driver’s license with driving record approved by OWWC Insurance
- Ability to work in all climates (hot, cold, rain, snow.)
- Travel to job sites throughout the Midwest, potential outside Midwest at times
- Above average work ethic
- Above average level of patience
- Above average of trust
- Comfortable working at heights
- Willingness to climb 80-90% of the time
- Experience with modification work (guy swaps, core drilling, mag drilling)
- Welding experience (3g/4g SMAW)
- Must have prior experience in the telecommunications field
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to work outdoors in all types of weather conditions
- Must be able to climb tall structures 50-500’+ and work at heights with 50 lbs. of gear
- Working long days (12 hour days are not uncommon)
- Frequently moving, transporting, positioning objects of 50 pounds or more
- Frequently required to stand, walk, stoop, sit, and climb ladders and communication towers and work in an elevated position that is +/- 500 feet
