Jardeg is recruiting RIG Welders for the MAY SHUT DOWN at the Imperial Oil Kearl site in Fort MacKay, Alberta.

Charter flights are provided from Calgary/Edmonton to site! Shift schedules will be on a 24/4 or 6/1 rotation, 12 hours per day with daily overtime. While working on site, workers will be staying at the Wapasu camp which will provide hot meals, lodging, workout facility, Wi-Fi, commissary and much more! We also have new HIGHER rates for all craft workers!

Rig Welders are expected to be proficient with double jointing, position welding, and roll welding on both pipe and pipe fittings. Welding will be completed in both yard and field environment.

Responsibilities:
Weld up to 24 to 36 inch Diameter pipe

Use welding processes such as SMAW and FCAW to welds

Follow various company policies and procedures

Minimum Requirements:
Journeyperson Certificate of Completion in the Welding trade

Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS-09 or 2020) Certification

Fall Protection

Confined Space

Basic Rigging

First Aid – Level A or C

Valid Driver’s License

Must have wire feeder on rig

Welding tickets and/or welder performance qualification testing required – as per Site’s Performance Qualification testing of welder’s guideline:

F3 Down-hand with Max T (or over .75” max deposited weld metal)

F3/F4 Down-hand with Max T (or over .75” max deposited weld metal)

F6 GMAW (Mod SC) / FCAW

CWB FCAW (All position)

CWB SMAW (All position)

Arctec 661T (All position)

Arctec W1063 (Flat & Horizontal)
