Robotic Welding Technician

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Frazier Industrial Company is the leading manufacturer of racking systems, with its headquarters located in Long Valley, NJ. Automation and Robotics/Maintenance Technician position is full time and based at one of our shop locations in Trenton Ontario. We are looking for self-motivated, self-starter, with the desire to learn & excel in a technical environment. This position programs ABB and FUNUC robot welders that is project-orientated & you may be working on several projects, at various stages, at any given time. Work will be performed with minimal supervision. The work schedule for days Monday to Thursday 4:00am to 2:30pm. Overtime is scheduled as required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Program and modify computer–controlled robotic movements to safely apply MIG type welds per blueprint specifications to produce completed products to company standards and customer requirements.
  • Level/calibrate and install robot offline/online programs, commission and control robot systems.
  • Read check sheets, blueprints, and tape measure to determine specifications and accurately complete all required functions; accurately document and maintain information in written or electronic form.
  • Perform operator maintenance per established schedules; troubleshoot to determine robot malfunctions using knowledge of microprocessors, programmable controllers, circuit analysis, and electronics & pneumatics.
  • Assume a leadership role for Robotic/Automation issues and provide training and guidance to maintenance, operators, and staff.
  • Other duties may be assigned or requested.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES:

  • 3 – 5 years of experience as a Robotic Welding Programmer in an industrial warehouse setting.
  • Capability to assemble, test, install & troubleshoot robotic equipment.
  • Ability to read Blueprints and Read a Tape Measure to 1/16” increments.
  • Ability to read and interpret drawing for dimensions and weld patterns to determine quality adherence to engineering requirements.
  • Understanding of Robotic programming formats, electrical and mechanical debug for ABB and Fanuc robots.
  • Analytical mind that is strong with math, verbal, and written communications.
  • Reliable, trustworthy, critical attention to detail with the ability to work independently.
  • Must be able to lift to 50 pounds.
  • Ability to be proactive, confident, and react quickly in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $19.50-$26.00 per hour
