We are a growing sign manufacturing company based in Guelph and are currently looking to expand our team.

The Position: We’re looking for a Jr. Heavy Fabricator / Welder. The pay range we’re offering is between $20.00 – $28.00

The successful candidate will possess the following skills: * High School Diploma is Preferred. With 1 – 3 years of experience in a fabrication of environment. Previous machine operating experience in a manufacturing environment.

  • Must be able to read and write English, must also have good math skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate effective listening and verbal skills. Good work ethic.
  • Ability to read and use measurements and read blueprint like drawings.
  • Experience working with hand and power tools.
  • Team oriented with an ability to work with others in a multicultural and clean shop environment
  • Must be proficient in welding and will be required to pass an in house weld test. (Tickets are not required)
  • Must be able to weld aluminum and steel (multiple thicknesses)
  • Experience with signage is plus.

Responsibilities: * Work between the hours of 6 A.M. to 5 P.M.

  • Weekends (Saturday) may be required.
  • Verify and ensure accuracy of information prior to production.
  • Able to interpret standard structural drawings to build the sign to spec.
  • Build signs or repair signs to company standards as per work orders.
  • Plan details of working procedures, determine which power tools and material are required.
  • Clean and prepare surface to be welded. Sets up, assembles, and tracks weld parts.
  • Perform production related welding by using welding techniques and appropriate welding equipment.
  • Assist in other areas of production as assigned
