Job Summary:
You are a Journeyperson B Pressure Welder with Rig that has extensive experience working in an industrial shop setting. We are looking for a Journeyperson B Pressure Welder to support us in our Pipe Fabrication and Module Assembly Facility in Nisku, AB. The successful candidate will be responsible for working in accordance with quality, safety, and efficiency standards.
Responsibilities:
Performs Pipe welding (capable of rolling pipe and/or position welding)
Develops patterns for projects or follow directions given in layouts, blueprints, and work orders
Work with riggers and laborers to successfully complete tasks
Cleans and checks for Weld defects
Mentors and coaches Apprentice Welders
May perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements:
Must be an Interprovincial Red Seal or have a Journeyman Welding ticket from a recognized provincial training authority
Must have own Rig
Must possess STT (F6/F4) Welding ticket Max thickness in the 6G position
Previous experience working in an industrial shop environment
Must possess a valid “B” pressure ticket
Must successfully complete pre-access drug and alcohol testing
Work Conditions:
Shift based position working 5 days on with 2 off
Working 10 – 12 hours per day
Local work only in Nisku
Project scope for Welders is expected to run until the end of May 2023 (may be able to be transferred to camp based role upon completion)
