Job Summary:
This position has instructional responsibilities within the Welding Department which include instruction of apprentice and entry level students teaching provincial curriculum; preparing and presenting classroom lectures, course delivery and assessment materials; providing practical demonstrations on multi-process procedures and working collaboratively within our Trades team and with the Dean of Trades. The program curriculum will include sectors of the economy such as manufacturing, construction, transportation, resource extraction and resource development and learning outcomes, including safe work practices; an overview of rigging and hoisting equipment; use of hand tools and portable power tools, and all administrative responsibilities including assignments, examination marking, and student evaluation.
