THE POSITION

TIG Stainless Welder Fitter.

Responsibilities

  • Welding Stainless Steel and Aluminum (Mostly TIG). Most of the work is in Stainless Steel.
  • Interpret drawings and bill of materials on orders to determine material layouts and dimension requirements.
  • Follow procedures to produce and efficiently make quality parts.
  • Accurate fitting, layout and welding required for manufacturing of finished goods.
  • Daily reporting of material usage and labor for all shop floor work.
  • Appropriate maintenance and upkeep of job-related equipment.
  • Work in a safe manner that complies with company health and safety standards and the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
  • Any and all other duties that serve the company and the customer, (i.e. sweep, clean, cut, grind).

Required Skills

  • At least 5 years experience required with TIG welding of Stainless Steel and Aluminum.
  • Strong blue print reading capabilities to fit and layout parts to achieve a quality finished product; and ability to advise on edits or revisions that may be required to attain such a quality part.
  • Solid understanding of welding and welding procedures and a willingness to train others as required.
  • Knowledge of metalworking machines, materials, applications and techniques.

Job Type: Full-time

Day Shift: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm (Monday to Friday)

Afternoon Shift: 3:00 pm – 1:30 am (Monday to Thursday)

Salary: $22.48-$26.23 per hour
