Overview

Thanks to continued growth, Seaborn Manufacturing is looking to have an experienced MIG welder, with some fitting fitting and fabrication experience, to join our team. The shift hours are 7:00am to 5:15pm Monday to Thursday, and overtime Friday up to 7:00am to 3:15pm Friday. This a day shift only position, with no shift rotation. Overtime will be added as required but not more than 48 hours per week. Applicants must be willing to work overtime when needed.

At Seaborn, our focus is on quality. This job requires that applicants can efficiently and consistently produce quality welds. The ability to put down a clean consistent weld is essential to be considered as a candidate. As such, a weld and finish test will be required before starting. Our focus is on gauge metal welded assemblies majority of material is under an 1/8″ / 3mm thick. We do not weld heavy plate or structural. The majority of our assemblies weigh less than 40lbs when completed.

Our ideal candidate is a flexible one. While welding will be the bulk of your activity, a willingness to work in other parts of shop is a job requirement. You maybe required to run a saw, tube bender etc.

Successful applicants will be using our solid state MIG, and possibly TIG depending on your experience, to produce high quality work. The quality of our work has us busy with a full order book, and so we take maintaining our reputation seriously. Team members will be expected to maintain our high production standards and professional reputation.

This job offers a competitive salary, based on ability, with a benefit package after a three month probationary period. After a successful interview, candidates will complete a weld and finish test before starting. We are looking for a positive group orientated attitude, that will fit well with our existing team.
