You as an Automated Weld Cell System Operator will:

  • Day-to-day robotic welding system operation, including coordination with Material Handlers, Manual Welders as required, and Inspectors.
  • Monitor metrics and communicate with management regarding system performance issues
  • Diagnose basic faults, troubleshoot wiring, cabling, hose, and servo issues to reduce machine downtime
  • Perform maintenance such as consumable and sensor replacement, machine cleaning, and lubrication

Is this role right for you?

  • Knowledge of Robotics and PLCs – including ability to recover systems, jog robots, & identify, maintain and troubleshoot software and Siemens PLC and HMI components considered an asset
  • Competency in Control Systems and ABB robotic programming, including LAD, STX, FBD, and RAPID considered an asset
  • Robotic welding experience considered an asset
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail, work ethic and positive team player
