Primary Responsibilities: Under direct supervision of chilled water pipe foreman, this role Performs skilled pipefitting tasks in the installation, repair, and maintenance of HVAC pipeline systems. S/he may occasionally oversee and direct the work of a small group of laborers.
Specific Duties & Tasks:
- Measures and marks pipes for cutting, threading, and welding.
- Lays out full-scale drawings of pipe systems, supports, and related information from blueprints.
- Plans pipe system layout, installation, and repair according to specifications.
- Selects pipe and related materials for projects, such as supports, hangers, and hydraulic systems.
- Attaches pipes to structures and fixtures using hangers, brackets, clamps, tools or welding equipment.
- Inspects and tests installed systems and pipelines, using pressure gauge, hydrostatic testing, observation, or other approved methods.
- Performs other related work as required.
- Responsible for special projects as requested by management and other duties/ responsibilities as assigned to meet the ongoing needs of the organization.
- Ensure compliance with all Del-Air policies and procedures.

Qualifications:
- At least two (2) years of experience relating to HVAC commercial installation, preferred.
- Ability to work from blueprints, sketches, and oral instructions under limited supervision.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the methods, practices, techniques, tools, and equipment employed in the joining, jointing, cutting, bending, threading of all types of HVAC piping.
- General knowledge of the hazards of the trade and necessary precautionary measures.
- Willingness and ability to work nights and overtime on an as-needed basis
- Eligible to legally work in the United States.
- Ability to obtain a valid driver’s license.
- Be at least 18 years of age.
- Successfully complete a background check and drug screen.
- Ability to thrive in a team environment.
