Title: Solderer/Welder
Duration: 2+ Months Contract
Location: Largo, FL
Work Days/Hours: Monday to Friday 6 am to 2:20 pm, Overtime available
Rate: $18 -$20/hr on W2

Description:
Reates lay-out and fits and welds fabricated, cast and forged components to assemble manufactured products.
Essential Duties And Responsibilites: include the following:
Selects welding equipment and accessories. Plans the layout of the assembly and welding area.
Lays out, positions, aligns and fits components together
Interprets specifications, blueprints and job orders as required
Bolts, clamps and tack-welds parts to secure in position for welding.
Sets up equipment and welds parts using arc (SMAW), gas-shielded arc (GMAW), gas welding equipment (TIG) and oxygen/acetylene welding, cutting and brazing
Repairs products by dismantling, straightening, re-shaping and re-assembling parts
Works with team members and production planning to meet on-time deliveries
Grooves diaphragm seal tops, assembles diaphragm seals, test welds using specialized equipment
Recommend measures to improve production methods, equipment performance and quality
Reports machine and equipment malfunctions to maintenance personnel
Orders necessary supplies as required
Inventories stock
Bead blast welds or brazed surfaces as required
Proven skills set to make timely decisions, solve problems, and handle multiple priorities
Demonstrated organizational and follow-through skills

Qualifications:

Education And/Or Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required
Associate’s degree (A. A.) or equivalent from a two-year college preferred
2-5 years related experience and/or training required
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence; such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, procedure manuals, and memos in English. Ability to write simple correspondence in English. Ability to speak effectively one-on-one, and before team colleagues of the organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with conflict in situations where a misunderstanding may occur with a colleague. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Must be certified to ASME B31.1 for Carbon Steel and 316/316L Stainless Steel or ready to be certified.
Work Hours:
Normal work hours are 8-hour shifts daily Monday through Friday with 1/2 hour lunch (shift hours are subject to change). Overtime work may be required daily and /or Saturday. Daily overtime may be required without notice in order to meet on-time deliveries. Saturday overtime will be scheduled forty-eight, (48) hours in advance. When overtime is scheduled you will be required to work.
